Mission & Purpose of ESH Central

The mission of this online community is to carry the Emotions Anonymous message of emotional recovery to the person who still struggles with depression, anger, broken or strained relationships, grief, anxiety, low self-esteem, panic, abnormal fears, resentment, jealousy, guilt, despair, fatigue, tension, boredom, loneliness, withdrawal, obsessive and negative thinking, worry, compulsive behavior and a variety of other emotional issues.

Through this online fellowship, we reach out to those who are unable to physically attend meetings, and to those who do not have a face-to-face meeting nearby. We also welcome and support the recovery of those wishing to use this online forum to supplement their regular meetings.

Quick Overview of Emotions Anonymous

Emotions Anonymous (EA) was formed by a group of individuals who found a new way of life by working the twelve-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous, as adapted for people with emotional problems.

We invite you to discover, as we have, that our EA fellowship of meetings is warm and friendly and that it is also important for achieving and maintaining emotional health. We use the Twelve Steps and the Twelve Traditions as guides for our meetings, our fellowship and for living one day at a time.

Emotions Anonymous is a non-profit organization, supported by the voluntary contributions of its members.

We thank Alcoholics Anonymous for their permission to use this program, and we thank the God of our understanding for guidance.

The only requirement for membership in Emotions Anonymous is a desire to become well emotionally. Emotions Anonymous is not a medical or psychiatric service, nor does it provide personal or family counseling.

The Emotions Anonymous International Service Center (ISC) has not approved, endorsed, or reviewed this website, nor is it affiliated with it, and the ability to link to the ISC's site does not imply otherwise.
